ATV and quad parts

Last updated

ATV parts are heavier and bulkier than anything else in this catalogue, and freight often costs more than the parts. That changes which purchases make sense.

Fitment turns on a handful of measurements — bolt pattern, hub spline count, axle length — none of which appear in a listing.

What we check before you pay

Bolt pattern and hub spline count

Wheels are a bolt count and a pitch circle diameter; hubs are a spline count and a shaft diameter. These are the numbers that decide fitment and they are measurable from your machine.

Axle length and CV joint type

Axles are specified by overall length and joint type at each end. Two axles for the same quad model are routinely different lengths.

Reverse gearbox and CVT

Quads with a reverse gearbox have drivetrain parts that share nothing with the equivalent scooter CVT. Which transmission you have decides the whole parts list.

Cooling on air-cooled engines

Shroud, fan and fin condition matter more on an air-cooled quad than on anything else here, and the parts are often omitted from a listing photograph.

Freight is the dominant cost

Bodywork, frames and complete engines are volumetric or heavy. We quote against real carton dimensions and weights, because an estimate here is misleading by a wide margin.

How an order runs

  1. Measure and photograph Bolt pattern, spline count, axle length, and photographs with a tape measure. Model names do not identify these parts.
  2. Fitment from your measurements We match on the numbers you supply and tell you where a seller's compatibility claim does not hold up.
  3. Specification and packing agreed Sizes and part content written into the order, with carton dimensions requested at the same time.
  4. Quote against real dimensions Goods, our service fee, inspection, consolidation and freight, itemised against measured cartons rather than estimates.
  5. Inspection with parts measured Sampled parts measured against your figures, function checked where relevant, and photographed.
  6. Consolidate and ship Repacking heavy and bulky parts at the warehouse is where this category's freight saving comes from.
